Good to see the Vol-nation, loud and proud on the MUD site.

I've been on this site for 3 or 4 months and haven't got an aviator yet cause I couldn't come up with a good one :slap: d'oh.

...If you want a great 'aviator' try Amelia Earnhardt

MaBrodis,
Welcome to the forum - glad to see you join. You always have the best darn pics with that scenery and stuff.

Mabrodis-Truck looks great, did you regear since you are running 35s? I ordered the 851s and 860s since I have no ARB bar, winch, or rear bumper, and don't plan on getting any of those anytime soon. I'm debating on what tires to run but am leaning toward 33x12.50s, but am also considerin 35"s with 1" spacers.
Rookie2-If you ever want to go wheeling I'm in Knoxville so just PM me, Go Vols!

Here's a shot of my '93 with OME 850/863's and Mr. Gasket 1" spacers up front running Kelly-Springfield Safari MSR's in 285/70/16. Yeah, it's a poser shot...

I have a stock '92 80, and I'm running 33's on the stock POS rims. Bought it like that and have no rubbing or any other issues. Sounds great too, lots of tire humming.

Those wouldn't happen to be POS stock 15" steel rims, would they? If so...want some aluminums... :)

Here I go living dangerously....my plate is Arizona:

Thanks...I like the look of mine, although my cleverly placed dents don't help it...as for regearing, no, I have not done any re-gearing at all. I almost want to, but I like being able to run plenty fast on the highway. I'm actually very surprised by all the talk how you have to regear if you're going with 35's. I'm sure it would give a bit more jump off the line, but once you're even barely moving, the low-gear advantage isn't that much. There are definetly times offroad when I wish I could have more power or lower gears to play with, but it's usually places where I have all 4 tires locked, and all tires are climbing different rocks/ledges. Also that usually comes at high elevations, where all vehicles are dieing, over 13,000 ft nobody has much power.

About the OME 851/860 combo, that is the OME light I was told, that is the first lift I put on mine, and if you look at my pictures at:

http://pictures.colorado4x4.net/4_Wheeling/5.17.02-Moab/

That is the exact lift I had, and running the same 315x75 MTRs I have now. We ran a ton of tough trails that year, well tough to us, hardest was Lower Helldorado, that is REALLY nasty for a vehicle as big as ours, and without a scratch, well the undercarriage doesn't count, or the bumper.. :) Hell I even made it up Potato Salad Hill unassisted (strap for safety) with that lift and these tires...

This picture is with OME 851/860 and 315x75 MTRs, at the infamous Slick Rock Campground...

Now I have OME 850/863 with the Mr Gasket 1" spacers up front, so any recent pictures on my webpage is with that setup.

How the heck do you get your aluminum wheels so clean looking ? Mine seem to be all pitted from salt maybe the last few winters ..... is there a recommended product for cleaning 'em up ?

Thanx

Eah, they're not as pretty as they look. I mean, they are in pretty good shape, but they have some oxidation or discoloration on them here and there.

That's a REAL good pic of my 'Cruiser, huh? No imperfections show through...

Phil ,

Can you fill us in on your lift details .. and post a few more pics ; side and rear . Nice looking setup ... especially the potentially 'bling' wheels ... lets see 'em ;)
