Telematics (DCM) bypass kit for 200 Series

Hi David,

Yes, we offer a data communication module (DCM) bypass for the 2020 Land Cruiser 200 series. The correct part is the AHH-DCM92:
working link?
(I just checked the diagrams and updated the compatibility information on the page)
Thanks,
Brian

Hey Dave, Linky no worky

What company is this?

Ken - I posted from my phone and evidently failed at interweb basics. Edited on computer and should work now. The text references a Highlander DCM location. I'm going to email them the diagram I posted earlier and follow up after install with any hints. I did not want to pull the fuse and lose my microphone, not sure if the right speaker would drop as I don't know if the wiring goes through the unit like on other models. I'll test prior to unplugging the unit when I dig down to it. Has anyone removed a center console and have any hints?

Thanks for this. I emailed about fitment/function for a 2021.

I presume it’d work, but want confirmation before I buy it and find out the hard way.

I don't want to lose the microphone function.

Lots of chatter about vehicles transmitting ‘driving data’ to manufacturers and in turn, insurance companies. Lucky for us, the DCM (Data Communications Module) 5A fuse located within the interior fuse panel can be removed completely disabling this feature beyond just ‘opting out’ during the vehicle/account registration process. No codes or error messages. This does totally disable the SOS button too.

Simply pull the 5A DCM fuse from above the driver’s side footwell. See fuse block panel schedule snippet below.

Totally realize this is an older thread, but has there been a tutorial or photos taken of exactly how to access this fuse panel?

It’s literally in the first post. A description of where the fuse panel is and what fuse to pull.
Yeah, I'm trying on my 14', overlooked the 16+ part of the title. I found my 5A TEL fuse, still trying to figure out the 7.5A DCM fuse.

Your 14 more than likely has a 3g modem which is completely deprecated. I wouldn’t worry.
