I called up MAF tonight and they still have one TIC set left over....I was thinking about pulling the trigger. Any more insights from the people who bought the other few sets that were available...now that it has been a few months?

TNTs installed

I have had a set on TNTs on my 62 for about a month now. So far I like the ride, and the combination of the parabolics, 4plus 4-3/8" greasable anti-inversion shackles and ProComp ES9000 shocks are a huge improvement over the tired stock suspension and lifted 2.5" in front and 3.2" in back. There is no difference in measurements side to side. Shackle angles are pretty much dead vertical.

Only complication with installation was the spring packs are much thinner, which wasn't a problem in the fronts. In the rear, the ubolts I got from JT outfitters didn't have enough threads to hold the thinner pack, so I put in some temporary spacers. For a more permanent solution, I bought a 4plus ubolt flip kit for the rear, but have not yet installed it.

I haven't been off road yet.

I'll post pics soon.

sweet, thanks for the update. I look forward to the pics. Did you buy this from MAF as a kit with the ProComp ES9000 shocks or did you get them someplace else?

I just bought the springs and shackles from MAF. 4wheel parts had an internet deal for 4 ES9000 and a steering stabilizer for $149.99. Poly bushings and ubolts came from JT Outfitters.

Sweet Aaron,

The pics look great. Do you happen to know how tall it is from the top of the roof to the floor? I don't think it's going to fit in my garage after this.

Gallo Pinto, thanks for the pics. Looks like they have settled a little bit which looks good. I have been looking around and comparing prices to OME and just haven't made a decision yet...we'll see what happens.

Measured it today. Probably need 75 inches minimum to clear. Good luck.

hi all,

installed a set on my 89' Land Cruiser BJ60 (now a HZJ60 TDi), came with Koni shocks, had them since mid-2005.

Overall impressions, looks unique as spring packs are minimal, ride height is increased minimally so fitting tires larger than 33" is not possible, ride on-road is pretty good & off-road is also reasonably good (i've used Australian Ultimate Suspension Brand since 1991 and IMHO they are far superior, i've installed them on my 1984 BJ42 instead when i got the parabolics).

I live in North Borneo (Sabah, malaysia) and terrain here is mainly ruts, gullies, muddy slopes, poorly maintained gravel washboard-type 'roads'. Articulation again is pretty average, not great but definitely better than stock.

I'll be trying out Japanese made 'kips slant' soon- 4" lift. Will post pictures i've them.

I have read this thread a couple of times as I get closer to replacing the tired suspension on my fj62. I emailed Paul at Heystee to see if they currently have a dealer in the US. They don't. Their suspension is only available by direct order from The Netherlands. Below is the email I received back about pricing and availability. Looks like I'm too late to the party. It'll be OME for me.

Thank you for your e-mail. At this moment I only have Land Rover and J40 series suspensions in stock. I need to do a production run of J60 springs but for this I need a minimum batch of 50 sets. I have pre-orders but not enough to start so I can't say how long it will take.
Prices depend on production but they will be around Eur 1.600,-
Shipping is ± Eur 325,- by FedEx.

If you have any questions please contact me.

I bought the MAF TNT springs and put them on about a year /15000 miles ago. The rest of the setup I pieced together including 4+ greasable 4-3/8" shackles, Procomp ES9000 shocks in front, Doetsch-Tech MV12 shocks in back. 2 degree caster shims. I have been happy with the parabolics, but I have never ridden in a cruiser with the other suspension systems so I often wonder how the ride compares. My FJ62 is stock weight. HST says the 2 leafs are stiffer than stock, and I would not describe the ride as smooth but this is very subjective. I suspect the ProComp ES9000s in front may make things stiffer than they should be. Overall, it was a huge improvement over my beat out OEMs.

The vehicle sits flat without any lean or stink bug. Measurements from ground to fender before/after/1year later sitting on 31X10.5:

Front R 34.0 / 36.4 / 35.7
Front L 34.0 / 36.5 / 35.7

Rear R 32.4 / 36 / 35.7
Rear L 32.5 / 36 / 35.7

The truck tracks very straight on the highway, probably better than before I put on the new suspension. I don't get to wheel outside of an occasional beach run, so I can't comment on off-road manners.

The shackle angles are pretty much straight vertical. I know that a lot of people on mud think this is bad I am not convinced this makes a lot of difference. All in all, I would buy them again.

I hope this helps.

How is the offroad side to these?

Any US (northeast) availability of these? Interesting thread.
