Can you elaborate on what you did to clean them prior to painting ?I painted mine with cheap appliance (epoxy) paint from Home Despot. No primer. It's held up fine. No chips after 6 years. I did clean the surface well, though.

Hit mine with a scotch pad and then some soapy water and a toothbrush. Primed and painted them and they feel like they will last. In retrospect I could have cleaned more of the old paint off of em. Be careful you don't lose the little ball in the dial when taking them apart! I had to look for mine for 1/2 hour.
New OEM hardware in the mail too. These clean hubs really make the rusty hubcaps pop too!
