Hi, first post or thread here. Thanks for all of the excellent info here, really helped me to take care of my parents' sole vehicle the last couple of years. There is a decent likelihood it may become mine one day, too. I just did CV axles on it for the first time (on any vehicle), and that was really hard for me haha. A single O2 sensor, and I just passed smog this morning in CA. The tech says that if the tear on this evap vent hose gets worse, they will visually fail me the next time, and no tape allowed.
Should I just snip it? I'm leaning toward replacing, but am perhaps okay with snipping.
I searched my local dealership's system using my VIN for the part. These two are the only results I received for "vent hose", but I can't tell if I'm even in the ballpark. When I searched for "evap vent hose", I got no hits at all. Trying those searches here, I am seeing lots of hits for rear diff, tank, full replacement of canister.

I tried googling for images/diagrams, and at the moments I think I'm starting to get warm, I often find myself looking into the wrong engine. Thanks for reading, and also for any possible guidance.
