I try! @captainva if @TRDdrew isn't interested...I'll have my ZF scan tool (OBD1 reader) available to a good home (club mates & friends) for a gift. You'll need a phone or tablet running Android to use with Bluetooth. When I get mine over to C&C in CO soon, they're going to do the EMU Black ECU for me.

Unfortunately I just found out that my trip, leaving Sunday, is delayed for at least a week...not a problem, just anxious to get my rig to them for the 5 speed and ECU upgrades!

I have one of my own that I bought but I appreciate it!

What tablet were you running? Looking for a new one soon

All good! I run the Samsung Galaxy Active 5....it has 5g so I can use with OnX, mounted with a RAM holder made for that specific model and clamped to the passenger grab bar. I did use a smaller clamp from Amazon that is not RAM, but compatible with the ball size...RAM was too large for what I needed.

Thats super helpful, thank you! I've been looking at mounting solutions and seems like everything is tailored to 95-97

I have a 91 myself. Is this device you’re talking about able to read engine codes and live data on an obd1??

Here's what I cobbled together for my 94 yesterday. 17mm ball mount and a metal tab for reinforcement on the backside of a curved switch blank. I removed my antenna switch to accommodate it. Pretty sturdy so far, but time will tell. I probably wouldn't mount a tablet on it without more reinforcement tho.

I dont think the ZF scanners are compatible with the ECU for the 3FE, at least its not listed on there site

Missed the 91 and 3FE, you're right

Subbed - I'm excited to watch this build. That frame damage looks nasty!
Appreciate it, honestly the frame repair, at least to me, isn't worrying just because I have the equipment and skill to properly repair it. That will be a fun update when I get around to it

In preparation for the exhaust rebuild, I started the PAIR delete. I'm ready to move the o2 sensor to the manifolds just waiting on new gaskets to arrive

Also replaced the driver door window motor with used one I had laying around so now all 4 windows work again.

Couldn't find anything around the shop to plug the PAIR inlet into the air box lid so I just cut it off and welded it up

Wrapped up the PAIR delete, took me a min to figure out why the in board o2 wiring harness wouldn't reach the manifold area. It was just to short then after a quick search found someone talking about how the harness runs over top of the transmission.......

That's odd, mine was running under the transmission. The truck has had an engine swap and I guess that was the easier way for the installer to route the harness lol

After fishing it over top of the transmission it pretty much was right where I needed it to be ( go figure ) now while it was hanging I did double up the plastic insulation around the harness and metal taped overtop of that just for safe measure, the harness sits pretty close to the manifold now and wanted to do all the heat preventative I could. I was able to tuck it behind the heat shield on the fire wall and drilled a small hole in the shield to secure it with a zip tie. ( as shown in the picture)

I know this has been covered many times before but figured I'd document as well. Maybe it will help someone in the future
