Sounds like a great trip. I agree with lack of storage, but I do find the seats very comfortable. What did you mean exactly? Lower back, hips, leg room? What do you think the issue is and do you have leather or the cloth in the 58'?

Our LC is the LC edition, not the 1958. It has the vinyl/leather seats, that material they call "Softex". I think this is my issue with the seats, more than the cushion or support or seat structure. I had a '14 Tundra, it had cloth seats. I could drive all day in that truck with no discomfort. This LC, I have to frequently reposition the seat, and stop and stretch often, in order to do a long road trip. I like almost everything about the LC, except these two things.

I'm still really amazed at how strong this little engine is. Very good acceleration, it can just sprint away from a traffic light. And it can do 85 mph on the interstate without effort. The engine is at times a little bit on the noisy side, but that's to be expected from a 4 cylinder, I guess.

I get a kick out of how quiet it is at low speed in a parking lot. The gas engine shuts down and you sort of stealthily stalk the aisles in search of a parking spot.

OK interesting. Yes I had that Softex in my 2017 4Runner TRD pro. I didn't mind it and really cannot feel any difference to the leather in my LC FE. Of course I also covered up the leather with cheap waterproof car seats off amazon - the best $30 ever spent! Well everyone is different in their personal comfort positions and I think it depends on injuries, body shape, etc.

Yes I too love this engine. Even on 35" and a lift, the truck will accelerate surprisingly well and you can easily negotiate traffic when needed.

Annoying experience we are having (can't recall if I already posted this): rattle/clunk; sounds like coming from headliner on passenger side maybe above rear door or farther back. I need to sit back there while the :princess: drives and see if I can track it down. IH8rattles.

Short of squeaky brakes in reverse, we haven't had any issues in the first 2000 miles. I'll have the brakes handled at the time of the first service.

2025 LC/LC with the Michelin LTX Trail tires. 8,000 miles. The other day, we got a nail in the right rear tire. It's on the shoulder, so, according to the dealer, it is not repairable. The dealer put the spare tire on the truck for us so we could drive while we decide what to do. The pleasant surprise is that we not only have a full-size matching spare tire, but it is also on a matching wheel. Not sure if this was known or not. I assumed that we'd have a steelie under there.

Now to decide if we are going to spring for a new set of tires.

Your comments, please.
I've plugged a handful of tires with "un-repairable" punctures. To be clear, these were on the shoulder and not the sidewall, but the tire monkeys refused to touch the tire. $1 plug or $1200 for new tires. Easy decision unless you are really wanting a different set/size of tire.

My buddy found a weatherstrip for the windshield that got rid of his roof rattle. Let me ask him

Take it back to the dealer and have them deal with it. Prado or not, anything that says Land Cruiser on it that they're charging $60k should not rattle anywhere.

Speaker rattlles on mine near the passenger door been like that since I got the thing but only when there's deep bass in some synthwave songs, Pissing me off. would the Dealership cover this? Besides a rattling because of prob a loose speaker there are ZERO rattles

I had rattles in both brand new 200's. The LX570, they replaced the entire headliner, the Land Cruiser, they basically told me to pound sand.

No rattles in the GX550. Probably the first new vehicle in years that I can say that about.

Anybody driven mad by the steering wheel? Wish they had the cool TRD Pro wheel from the Sequoia/Tundra instead? Would love to swap wheels and airbags with you  Just got my 25'sequoia trd pro and would've paid up to have the simple heritage wheel instead. I'm fairly certain a '24+ LC250 would direct swap.

I have this. I haven’t dealt with it yet. Quite a few comments online reporting a similar issue.

So far on the 550, I’ve had the brakes fixed and transmission reprogrammed due to hard downshift into 1st. Next is to deal with the rattle.

My LC steering wheel has the space between the two lower spokes filled in with plastic. It is irritating to me because I like to grip the wheel at that location. (That TRD wheel looks nice!)

I brought the LC into the dealership for the passenger door that was rattling when the bass hit certain frequencies. The tech took the door apart and said the noise was coming from the door panel, so they ordered a new one and will let me know when it arrives. Whatever the tech did while inspecting it seems to have fixed the issue for now because the rattling is gone even when im blasting a full volume. absolute Zero rattles now. So far it’s been a pretty good experience with them taking care of anything that comes up and honoring the warranty.

Considering a 250 purchase soon. Trying to decide if a new 27 model is worth it or if the SLIGHT used discount is smarter. (Found a low mileage non premium package 24 for 58k)

Are there any problems specific to the 24s that were fixed in subsequent years? I’m tracking the added things like the snorkel and ventilated seats in the new year, but I’m more concerned with issues that may have been corrected.

Thanks!

Has anyone checked to see if we can do this? The Sequoia part number is 45100-0C501-C2. Looks to retail for between $900 and $1,000. That is a lot of cash, but it is so much better looking.
