I was lookin into replacing all the rear heater lines with braided steel covered heater hose so I didn't have to replace all the hard lines.
I was going to install shut off valves on the hoses too.
I moved to CO instead and havn't had time to break (i mean) wrench on the 80.
 
would it be easy to just put in a small U bend to join the hoses together so you still get a flow and return? don't really need a rear heater.
 
You could, but I suspect you'd lose a lot of flow through your front heater. My pic shows the Y pieces that fed both heaters changed to just feed the front heater.
 
Resurrecting this because I still can't quite figure out the RHH bypass...

Are the two hoses marked in yellow the two hoses that replace the stock 'T' hoses?

Red 'X' is one line that goes to the rear heater, but not clear where the other one is that gets unhooked.
