Hey guys, I just moved out to California and I know nothing about the area... I am looking to meet up with anyone who...

- Wheels, Camps
- Climbs, Slacklines.... I have gear!
- Fishes (I've been hitting the pier) would like to learn to surf fish
- Hikes
- Generally does anything fun outside

I moved out here for work and I know like 2 people

Anyone know of anything I should check out? Cool beaches, cool areas, caves, climbing spots, water falls, cool hikes, trails, ANYTHING!?

There is a big camp-out happening this coming weekend. Click on the American Adventurist link and check out the Desert Rendezvous 2014 . This a great event and you will meet a bunch of like minded individuals.

Also, think anyone in the group would be interested in volunteering with Best In The Desert (BITD) or SCORE? I have been having a hard time getting my buddies to go out with me. I volunteered at the blue water desert challenge a while back out in Parker, AZ and it was a blast. Trophy trucks are SWEET

Jerry - you do realize Feb 1 is the Super Bowl don't you? Darn scheduling - missed another meeting - was on the road to AZ this past Sunday! At least I know I'll be home Sunday, Feb 1. Hotels over here in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area are CRAZY expensive Super Bowl weekend! My normal little Sleep Inn with a high season weekly rate of $100/night is getting $560 for the Sunday night of the game! Even Monday evening, after the game, is $300!
