i have some great chemicals at work that will bring that block back to its shiny black state

Is the bellhousing painted silver or has it been etched/sandbasted.
I thought that busted ass shed was pretty cool for a backyard shed:doh::D

i sand blasted it then painted it silver.

the shed is great, but its 30kms from home and 10 kms from any shops and has no power...

I found the shokies im going to run.

Im getting these so i can go coil over when im bored with the leaf springs.

They are Fox racing 2.5 Pro-Series Coilover Emulsion (aka CoilCarrier) shockie with 16" Travel, .875" Shaft dia. Extended length 42.43" and collapsed length 26.50" from eye to eye.

When i want to go coil over i just buy the coil kits for them.

Lookie, shiny aye?

For now :D

Hello all

Ive been busy moving everything back to my place so i can work on it every day/night if i want (YAY)

I had both difs in place, i had all the hubs on and wheels on, i put it on the ground and it stood under its own weight for the first time in so long!
Its a fair wack taller than i had first wanted... but i can live with that

But then my stupidity struck... i didnt finish the C&T, i cut and i rotated but i didnt weld it as i wanted it perfect and i was going to adjust it later. POP off comes the knuckle and ball and down goes my rig onto the floor again... But im going to take advantage of this, im going to get the other one out too and get them chrome dipped BLING BLING!

Yes you all may laugh... but after 1 1/2 years i was getting a little eager to see some action!

I saw another 75 cab chassis with a mild SOA and 35" tyres last week. Looked ok ;)

It was getting dark so I couldnt see. But the springs looked like they were custom made as they were nice and flat

Hey all,

Im at Tafe for the next few weeks so i dont have access to the workshop to do anything. I do have a sort of garage come workshop set up at home to continue though.

Heres my start to the front hub rebuild.

Spindles are ok, only minor wear on the seal area so i cleaned them up for reuse.
Hubs are painted and prepped.
Highsteer is prepped for install (buffed off the stoopid red paint on the mating surface...)
Hubs are almost together.

Ive got to buy some new thrust bushes for the inside of the spindle and possibly some new lower kingpins as the last people to work on this truck were realy rough and gouged into everything (as you can see from the above swivel housing pix)

Cheers fellas
