@uzj100 The headers look like they were designed around the fact that the ZR1 will be twin turbo

Interesting. Great eye. That will be crazy if you can buy a 1000 hp vehicle for about $135k. It will have to be awd or you will need to own a tire shop.

With 1,000 hp and AWD, you'll need to own twice as many tire shops. :grinpimp:

With 1,000 hp and AWD about 1 in 100 owners will actually be able to handle it unleashed. I would not be in the minority :)

Nice scenery... going to guess either WA, OR or maybe WY???

Video starts in the "XO hangar," so I'd wager most of it was shot in proximity to Bozeman, MT, which also would help explain some of the variety you see in the terrain as it's a mixed bag in that area with a combination of plains, large rolling hills, and rocky mountains.

This is pretty cool

MT would have been my fourth guess. Yep all four of those states have very diverse terrain, sooner or later i'll get out and explore a bit of MT aswell.

Blockchain, great idea. I just fear for the execution, like Malcolm said in Jurassic Park "God help us, we are in the hands of engineers". But well executed, it really makes it a lot more difficult for cheaters to cheat. Real Estate title and title curation is on the horizon for it too. So is food supply with large companies like Walmart, it could really help following food back to production and react quicker to issues with contamination.

Anyone going to be at Uwharrie this Saturday? I’m camping up there and hitting the trails with a guy from my church who has a bronco on 1 tons, but would love to ride around with some other cruisers if possible

@Izzyandsue Blockchain is coming and will assist with micro transactions, settlements, cross border payments, titles, and BS title insurance. There are so many things that BC can optimize. The establishment (the people that make money from us everyday in a nice legal way) are hating it. They no longer get to make interest on float and have no idea how they will make money. Stocks will settle immediately. Governments like it because they will collect more tax revenue and can do more with less FTE's. And the biggest thing is helping the under served (5.5 Billion) people on the planet. All aid/food will make it to them because we don't need 10 layers of management to help feed hungry people. Peer to peer lending. Micro-utilization selling and buying will be a thing. I am excited to see what happens and have a few BC projects that I am working with start ups.

Blockchain has been generating talk of revolution in supply chain and financial transactions for years now.

I expect that revolution will happen the year after The Year of Linux on the Desktop (sayeth this linux fanboi).

It is proving to be the buzzword du jour for enterprising BS'ers to get VC coin, which is sad bc it could be quite useful, and likely will be, but on much more muted/unglamorous terms.

Is rolling back transactions a thing yet?

Same here, we have a few, secret squirrel, projects. BC is as strong as the infrastructure behind it. And like any piece of software, it is useless without the process infrastructure to support it. Which prompted with monkey with a keyboard to write the below article:

I am considering selling my GX. It seems the market for them is pretty hot, but of course no-one wants to pay fair price. I'm trying to determine what a fair price is.

2007 GX470, 136k mi, up2date on all scheduled services incl timing belt and waterpump (all services done on time since new), non-Sport (no KDSS).
2 owners, in Raleigh since new, no rust.
Radflo 2.5"-diameter, 2" lift suspension, adjustable front coilovers.
Gamiviti rack.
OPOR sliders.
RCI xfer case/exhaust xover skid plate (not installed).
<6k mi on 255/75R17 Bridgestone Dueler AT 3's.
White w/ oak interior.
Has the highly-coveted nav and Mark Levinson audio lol (I think these are both are awesome, in spite of the angry hordes on the internet claiming otherwise).
New reman front PowerStop OEM calipers, Akebono ceramic pads all around.
No leaks.
Chintzy-ass front and 2nd row seat covers covering nearly pristine leather.
Hood and roof repainted.
Dash ain't cracked, hasn't been replaced.
Newish front windshield.
Title in hand.
Everything works properly.
Some other piddly crap...

Bad:
Paint. The driver's door is the worse now, it's the pearl white flaking/cracking issue that is very common to Lexus/Toyota pearl white of this vintage. This door needs a repaint. There is also flaking along/under the chrome trim at the bottom of the windows on both sides.
Got rear-ended some time ago while I was stopped at a light, which only mucked up the rear bumper cover and munched the resonator. Took the insurance settlement and welded in a new tailpipe, turned down behind the rear wheel. Put the other $800 in the bank/towards beer to soothe my anguish of a few scratches/blemishes on the cover. (I have pictures of this incident to validate there was no other damage.)
At least 1 split inner cv boot.
Sold 3rd row seats.
Flaw at top of dash (above the center stack) due to a moron (me) slipping a plastic pry tool when removing trim. Took off a small piece of the brown cover about 1/4" square.
I need to replace the rear calipers, and hope to do so shortly.

I daydream about someone showing up to my house w/ $14k and driving it away. However, I think the paint issue would scare people away. I wouldn't sell it for $10k. $12k isn't going to do it for me either. Guess I'll end up keeping it.....

Full disclosure: I think I'm becoming a worse driver, and having experienced the safety nannies in my wife's new Outback, I love them. That, and I'm just using the GX as a 15.9mpg daily driver. I love it and will happily keep it/drive it, but the bug to get into something smaller / newer (with the nannies) / 2X the mpg is gnawing at me.

@little_joe. theres a fb group all about the blizzard white failure, with contact info of a guy at corporate who has helped a lot of folks. my 08 just started lifting in spots. saw that last weekend, and was not a happy camper.

good luck with the sale, if it's meant to be, someone will walk up with the bag o cash, instead of a satchel of Richard's. :bounce::bounce2::bounce:

I'll have to look up that group, @stevezero - thanks for the tip! I'm not dead-set on selling, just thinking about it, and realizing I likely wouldn't get a decent price.

@little_joe - I would suggest a stock '08 GX in perfect shape with 136K would be worth $16-$18K. You have also upgraded the suspension. Subtract the paint and other stuff, I think you are on track at $14K if not low depending on how bad everything really is.

Do you need a LX450 as a third adventure vehicle to go with your new high MPG sports car? LOL

Happy Saturday from Sierra Nevada!

Our Co2 compressor blew - for the entire brewery, so we are pouring from limited numbers of cans. For all 6 bars. I suspect this will come to an end sometime in the next hour or two; and then who knows what from there.

Also, I got called a "****ing yuppie" multiple times because I wouldn't let someone smoke next to children in a no smoking area. He did say he was going to take me to a NASCAR race, but he didn't sound like much fun. Disappointing; because I would actually go to a NASCAR race.

Did you hit him with the fire extinguisher ?
