What other websites do you guys/gals normally visit besides mud.

Most of us do facebook, youtube and other car websites (i'm on about 10 other forums expeditionportal, Z28, CK5, etc...) so i'm not going to list those.

Ones I frequent often are

www.artofmanliness.com
I think many know this one

www.huckberry.com
sells some pretty sweet stuff but their blog is the main reason I go

www.marksdailyapple.com
Great recipes and nutrition advice

Man Made DIY | Crafts for Men
great DIY articles

www.instructibles.com
Same as above

The Site for Men & Manly Interests. Dudepins. Discover Stuff for Guys.
Pintrest for men

Mantelligence | Men's Online Magazine | Become a Better Man
A great collection of man-centric articles

A mix of news channels BBC/CNN/Al Jezzera

And the one I use the most is most likely Spotify just to have back ground music while I work.

I also listen to a lot of podcasts... mostly from art of manliness.

I will try to find the name of it but there was a place down in thomasville selling load rated wheel/tire combos for the same price as most places sell tires.

Followup:

Company in Thomasville:
North American Implements 336-476-0559
Talk to Stella!

I have not purchased anything there but my neighbor just put new tires and wheels on his 5th wheel and loved the prices. I don't even think they sell tires alone. Not sure about the 16" but maybe you could find some E rated combos.

BTW ... they cost a fortune but there are load range F and G tires made for trailers on the market.

G rated tire .... 14 Ply and 110 PSI. Dayum!

Finally!!! After fighting with Spartanburg County since January I finally got my Agriculture status back regarding my property taxes. Went from $ 1,572.65 back down to $21.25 annually on two pieces
of property totaling 12 acres. Almost totally wooded.

Something else cool I found is that because the five acres the house sits on is physically connected to both other parcels that are now back to being Ag, I can get Ag on all but 1 acre that the house sits on, so I can bring that property's taxes down significantly as well. Already back under $725.00 annually.

It's a good day :) Love battle with any form of government, winning is icing on the cake.

Oh yea they penalized me (included in the $ 21.25) $2.77 for being late on the payment. They originally told me to pay the full amount and they would refund the difference if I goot my Ag back. Fat chance.

Nice. I know you've been fighting this a while. Way to get them to right their wrong.

Blowing some sunshine into my company..."his award is presented by the Enlisted Association National Guard of the United States (EANGUS), to an employer who has demonstrated outstanding support to the enlisted men and women of the National Guard and Reserves"

Nicely done Izzy.

Stan, I have been fighting the same battle with regard to taxes and qualifying a tract in Anson County for the lower farm use valuation. I gave up trying to convince the tax office that three concrete slabs on the property are not buildings and should not be taxed as structures. The builidngs were demolished years ago. Only the slabs remain. Taxes have been paid on these non-existent buildings for 15 years. Fortunately it is not a large amount of money...but it's the principle of it all that gets to me.

I am also going through the process of qualifying (re-qualifying, actually) some land for the CRP (Conservation Reserve Program). If you think your county tax office is tough to deal with, try dealing with the USDA. No fun. No fun at all.

Is there a website where you can easily listen to specific songs, without having to download software? And not youtube, i don't need the videos.

basically a cross between spotify and pandora and youtube.

I just use spotify web player on my work laptop. Don't need to download anything and make my own playlists

https://play.spotify.com/

Specific songs is what Pandora doesn't do .... have to do spotify. don't know of any other.

playlist.com used to be another one before pandora but I think their site is down and are going to retool their product

@roadstr6 Dave, I dealt with the USDA to get my farm #. They were fine to deal with on my deal, not really that complicated as I suspect yours is. I have found that a general dullness of intellect is a job requirement of most government offices I have dealt with.

Regarding the slabs, I would ask them to show similar tax on other slabs in the county. If they are taxing as a building ask to see the county criteria for what actually constitutes a building. I'd fight that as long as I was drawing breath. Even though I am right, I think half the time I get what I want because I dig in and am unrelenting. I think part of their procedure is to try to wear you down so you just go away.

The one guy kept calling me "taxpayer" I responded "not yet I'm not"

Very similar tastes here. I'll definitely check out some of the others you recommended.

I personally check out the following in addition to a career specific discussion board and general auto/tech blogs.

My one post about 9-11 for the day. I could go on and on about how that day made me feel and changed me on a personal level but I'll instead just post this video.

The music fits and the the images convey the pain our nation felt as a collective.

The FZJ is more rare than the others. The jag is strange as they will continue to make that for some time.

Here’s a truly heartwarming story about the bond formed between a little 5-year-old girl and some construction workers that will make you believe that we all can make a difference when we give a child the gift of our time.

A young family moved into a house, next to a vacant lot. One day, a construction crew turned up to start building a house on the empty lot.

The young family’s 5-year-old daughter naturally took an interest in all the activity going on next door and spent much of each day observing the workers.

Eventually the construction crew, all of them “gems-in-the-rough,” more or less, adopted her as a project mascot. They chatted with her, let her sit with them while they had coffee and lunch breaks, and gave her little jobs to do here and there to make her feel important.

At the end of the first week, they even presented her with a pay envelope containing ten dollars. The little girl took this home to her mother who suggested that she take her ten dollars “pay” she’d received to the bank the next day to start a savings account.

When the girl and her mom got to the bank, the teller was equally impressed and asked the little girl how she had come by her very own pay check at such a young age.

The little girl proudly replied, “I worked last week with a real work crew building the new house next door to us.”

“Oh my goodness gracious,” said the teller, “and will you be working on the house again this week too?”

The little girl replied, “I will if those assholes at Home Depot ever deliver the fxxxing sheet rock…”

Kind of brings a tear to the eye, doesn’t it?
