So pedantic. In context, opposing pistons in the diesel engine above meant that they face each other. Heads on a boxer engine don't face each other, so I wouldn't call them "opposing heads". Yes, boxer engines are also "horizontally-opposed cylinder engines", but that diesel above is not a "boxer".

Not being pedantic at all there brother. Boxer engines are based on opposing pistons moving in opposite directions based on that the cylinder heads are opposed.

That is where you had me confused and I even said in my post I believe our definitions might just be different adding to the confusion.

I questioned the boxster vs boxer because as I admitted I know nothing about those things.

Anyway

The boxer engine on my BMW motorcycle appears to have a posing heads. Valvetrain ,spark plugs ,exhaust on each side of the motorcycle and opposing each other for balance. And putting those hot zones out away from the center of the crankcase for a better cooling efficiency in an airhead

One of my favorite personalities on YouTube. He also reviews beer and the reviews are highly entertaining.

RogueFab just came out with a mandrel bender attachment for their tubing bender. Holy crap this is cool!!

are they the guys that make the metal brake attachments for the shop presses??

Great video... i've thought about it for the 4bt if I ever get a huge itch for power but that thing it lite enough i'm not too worried at the moment.

I did have a plan for that on the 6.5 TD suburban I had. The stock GM3 turbo is small and it makes all its power down low.... its perfect to add another one in there. I saw a build where someone used the ATT turbo as the secondary on a 6.5 P400 and it was amazing.

The channel Machine Thinking is new to YouTube, but it's content is incredible.

If you like machining, tool making, and history, this is it all rolled into one. I'm posting one of my favorites so far, the history of the ultra heavy forging press. The other videos are worth watching too. Check it out.

I wish they would make a "poverty package" cruiser... but then I think... the cruiser I guess is the poverty package from the LX570

Just give me the engine, cloth seats and take all the electronics out to there, no traction control i'll just get 2k worth of lockers.

I wonder what the stripped down models in other countries cost.

Don't they do this for the trucks the UN buys? I could have sworn that the 200 series they get are completely bare bones.

They do but not in this country... in others you can get them stripped down.

BRB going to Gibraltar.

May be easier for me to go and buy on my British passport... lets split the cost and i'll leave it at my cousins house... 25 years isn't too long to wait to get it back here right? ;)
