Anyone know the difference in stack height and how the rear of an 80 would be with OME 862's compared to stock rear springs? It would have 851's on the front. I don't want to look like I'm doing wheelie stands at a track.

When I had the 861/862's installed I got around 1.0 - 1.25" lift over the sagging OEM springs. This lift was almost perfectly level on my rig.

Yeah, I figured as much but brain communicating w/ wallet and found a new pair of 862's for $100-Thinking I should probably just save and wait for 863's instead. Also wondering if I should go w/ 850's instead of 851's having and ARB on front or am I looking at negligible difference.

Do you have an aftermarket rear bumper? 863's (heavy) with 851's (medium) would give you serious stinkbug. Even 863's and 850's will give you some stink if you don't have an extra 200-440 lbs in the rear which is what the 863's are designed for. 850/860's are a good combo for an ARB in the front and stock rear bumper with less than 200 lbs additional weight in the rear.

No-stock rear-hadn't given that any thought but that would be dumb. Thanks for the input.

This is what it looks like with 305/70's. I have Ironman medium front springs (pretty close to 851's) and 862's in the rear. I don't have a rear bumper at all right now and I will be going with a light tube bumper so I don't anticipate the need for trim packers or spacers. Even with this set up after things settled I still think the front is just slightly lower though the measurements hub to fender edge were 22.5 up front and just over 22.25 in the rear with out flares. With a lightly loaded rear the 862's are a little stiff.

I will try to post some pictures later, but I have an 850/862 combo and visually it looks very close to level. The 850s were recommended to me b/c I hope to put an ARB on and wanted to stay level w/o spacers and I went with 862s b/c I had height restrictions due to an old school garage.
