OME 75mm or SLEE 4" lift?

Slee's 4" springs are great, but if you don't have the weight on your truck you're probably not going to like them that much.

The other thing to consider is that an unloaded truck will be very high with Slee's. If you correct caster and the driveline for that height, then as you add weight you'll need to go in and readjust the axles or compensate for the loss in height.

Starting with OME and a lower height, you correct the caster and driveline once. As you add weight you add spacers and with enough weight you then go to Slee's and hopefully be back where you started with the OME unloaded.

I'd think that 850Js and 863s on an unloaded truck would put you close to where I am loaded.

One thing about the suspensions, they sell well used.

The attached pic is the truck with the 30mm spacer added.

Are you happy with your OME heavies?

I'm very happy with them. As Landtank just pointed out, if you are not fully loaded (I'm not currently) they are really nice. My current plan is to add sliders and then a winch for my ARB and I'll just add spacers at that time to compensate for the loss in height.

For reference, I just hauled 5 large guys, 5 - 60 pound backpacks, and some additional gear @ around 300 lbs and we cruised down the road nice and comfortable, the heavies handled it well. I was only asking about the ride on Slee 4-Inchers out of curiousity.

Thanks for the info landtank,

I have ARB bull bar on order (get it in 2 weeks) and a M8000 in the garage.
I also have a rear tire carrier, rear ladder, roof rack, etc...

I am going to be build a drawer system for all my gear that I always haul around.
I will never unload the truck. I prefer to keep it ready to go. So I image that I will have a constant 300lbs or so on the back. Maybe more, maybe less.
I carry all the common stuff - Tools - recovery gear - fluids - flares etc....
I have never added it up. I wonder what peoples the 'normal' gear adds up too weight wise?
If I count everything I am sure I will need a heavy lift front and back.

I wonder, with all my gear and 3 people in the back seat, will it be sagging in the back with OME heavy? I already know I will need spacers.

A used OME would be good (as you suggested). I could pick it up pretty cheap. Probably my best bang for my buck. I do more expedition type wheeling anyway.

Cheers,
Nick

Nick my comments weren't for anyone in particular but for those looking into buying their first lift.

But with your setup I'd definately go straight for the Slee's!

Landtank,
Thanks for the suggestion. Once the time comes (and its coming soon) the slee lift will be seriously considered.
Does the 4 inch and 6 inch lift ride different? Or do they feel the same?

Also, just wondering, how big of tires do you have in that photo?

Cheers
