Ok the original plan was to swap the 2f in but i dont think the 2f has enough jam for 43s. ..
1FZ, maybe turbo? Would keep it Inline 6 and Toyota.

Ok so i think we are just going to use the 2f with the 4 speed and orion since we have it . I would love to put a 500hp LS in it but that is not in my budget this week . I say we just run what we have but clean up the 2F and take the Fuel injection it has off and get a new sniper set up . . I will just need to figure out some deeper gearing to compensate . I will say it again 43s are to big but its what i have to work with so lets make it work . 1 other option is to use my 350 and swap a new engine into my 40 . and still use the Toyota 4 speed . Would need to get a new bellhousing or source a sm420 or 465 . but then sttill need to get a adapter to the tcase . 1 other option is my engine source a trans and get a new Atlas . make it driver drop and then use my Dana 60 up front . I just see that as this thing sitting in my garage for Years and thats not a option . I guess i am at a bit of a crossroads here

The Orion is a 4:1? If that's the case, I'd slam that behind a SM420 or 465. I'm more partial to the SM420 with the 40's wheelbase, but a 465 is probably really easy to find.

Orion is 4:1. yes That would only cost me about 20k. if i consider new cost of engine for mine. new trans. and then what i have into my engine now

2F with a 3 speed bellhousing to SM420 maybe? Is that too hard to get the Orion behind and have all work? 2F with the 4 speed and Orion is still nice, just curious if there's a way to get deeper gearing without getting too much deeper into the pocket

I think with the 1 ton axle we can get 5:38. That would help. It had 4:88 on 39s and was ok

I put it out for some fresh air . Today I will get it cleaned up and the trailer hitch cut out I ground the torque tubes flush and will get some disks cut to fill in Any holes not being used will get welded and ground smooth
