Oil warning light on, oil level good...what's my issue?

you're welcome and thanks for keeping an open mind about all this. Yeah, the vac lines get old and with split ends. Toyota sells longer bulk lines which are metric of course, but local auto shops have them too. I just like the looks of oem vac hoses with Japanese writing and lines on them for some reason. I think we have two different metric ID sizes of vac lines under the hood.

Did Matt sell you the fuel pressure adapter thing outside of his website? I still don't' see it for sale on his site yet. Thx for the link on the IAC. Is this the one?

Yep, that's the one I got.

And I just contacted Matt via the email he has listed on his account here. He told me he has the adapters available, just not listed on his website yet. I think it was $70 or so. I left mine attached in case I need to check it again. Any issue you see with me leaving it attached?

cool, i'll contact him. I don't see any issues leaving it in place either.

The only other thing that I could think of (beyond what you've done) is the throttle position sensor (TPS). But, let's hope that you're good to go now. Happy to see that you're rolling again.
@Old Nick do you know if there is a good step by step guide for replacing the TPS on this forum? I think my stalling issue is fixed but it still bogs down a bit when I go to take off. As you say, the TPS is basically the last thing I haven't replaced at this point.

Here are a couple threads on the replacement and adjustment procedures.

I find it easiest to use the search engine of your choice and just put in this generic statement: IH8MUD 80 series - then you put in what you are searching for (e.g., TPS sensor replacement).

Also, if you haven't already download the FSM and EWD from the resources sections.

Thanks, man. That's the old "Here, let me google that for you..." trick. I can't believe I didn't think of that myself. I'm still a forum newbie. Thanks for the links!

Update: So I "had" an issue with the motor getting bogged down sometimes when I was taking off from a stop. However, the second and third time it happened I just mashed the gas pedal and it took right off. Now it hasn't happened in several days so I think I may be in the clear. Maybe the vehicle "learned"?

A funny/good thing happened after all of these fixes as of late: I went on a 4 hour trip yesterday and got 15.2 mpg. I don't think I've gotten better than 12-13 in previous year of driving. Might some of these fixes helped the mpg?
