Oil sender unit location f engine

[Matt1260]

Not sure this oil sender unit is in the right port. I get no reading on the gauge....

That's where mine is just checked.

This is a “running when pulled” 1974 F1.5. Your sender is in a different hole.

I see a plug

Oops, @thebigredrocker is correct, your sender unit appears higher than mine now that I look at it more closely. Sorry about that.

@ginmtb don’t you have a 2F? My F is over in my storage unit. So I searched, there may be some differences

My 74 is the 1.5F... My 75 is the 2F but that is about 4 hours south of me. I think you're spot on with the circled plug. After looking at mine again it is lower like the photo you posted.

done that before Matt

I was rushing one day when doing an intake and had it out to clean stuff up... put it back in the blind hole that you put yours... however... you at least have a plug in the right spot.... i didn't notice until the was a puddle forming under my truck

That's what I was thinking. Glad it's not my wiring work!
