Yes, I am Curious Newbie. :)

1. After changing various oils, how do you dump them? Bring them to the nearest autoshop or just keep them?

2. Today I found the underbody and engine compartment are very oily and cover with mixture of dusts & grease. They say "Purple Powder" is very good for removing them. However, where is the proper place to wash them out? Think about my driveway but it is not good spot because I don't want cover my driveway and neighbor's with the oily liquid.
Then, Self Washing facilities??

Where in OC are you?

The oil just goes to Kragen, Pep Boys or whatever and you take it to the back of the store and they dump it in a huge container.

Can't really answer the second question... that's a good one. I've done it once and it was on my own property and it wasn't that bad. I made sure to clean up what i dirtied.

I called several car-wash & detail shops nearby Irvine and all were negative about the engine & undercarriage degreasing service.

There is one guy who provide the mobile service but I am negative about that because the hazardous material will flow here and there, and at last to the sea.

I heard that EPA could impose a heavy fine when the engine degreasing is performed improperly. *hew*

Thanks Dan!
The shop seems to be the only one but it takes about 1.5 hr.

I'm very surprised to find out there are not many shops providing this kind of service.
