Thanks guys! I am enjoying it thoroughly!

The cruiser HAD 147K on it when purchased! :-) For those interested, I did a little write up with a few pics on the trip, it can be seen here. http://www.wildyoats.com/first_adventure.htm

The list of mods include: Lift (probably J springs, ARB bumper, Winch, Snork, lights, sliders, roof rack, and rear bumper that I may break out the welder for. One day, some forced induction may be nice too. Where my previous rigs have been geared towards rockcrawling, I am obviously gearing this one to be more user friendly on the road and trips!

LX- The camera is just a little cheapie, Sony Cybershot 3.2 :D

;)

You HAD to have chopped in the sunbursts on all the chrome.

:grinpimp: I knew someone would think that! I figured that someone would be you too! :D No, no added sunburts...sorry

Uh see post #4...so your BUGSHIELD even shines that much? DAAAAAMN! :D Welcome... :flipoff2:

Very nice pictures and chronicle of your trip. Living in California, I go to those parks regularly. Sequoia is actually very dramatic if you take the back road and go up to Mineral King. Its an exciting (scary) 1 lane road that has 3,000 feet drop offs, but the reward in the Mineral King valley is great.

I saw your pic of the Kraut version of the Dodge Sprinter. My daughter wants one of those but I think that little 5 cyl Merc diesel will be in the slow lane a lot of the time. Now, if it had the Cummins.....

Thanks guys-

Last night, I ordered some goodies for it. Christmas in Sept. makes one happy.
Pics to come!

That is one nice looking LC. Congrats!

Wow! what a shiny rig. I like the chrome handles. Congrats!

Ok, it's been nearly a couple weeks, and here is how she looks now! Yes, I have been going crazy! Plenty more to come, including a much needed lift which may be done tomorrrow! The 315's rub a little!

Yoats,

The truck looks awesome. Very quick build-up. I especially like the roof rack.

Thanks....Stay tuned, I will have a "how-to" tech article on building one (rack) soon!

Wallet? What's that? I pawned that too! :grinpimp:

What kind of rack is that? Looks very low profile...I like it...is it the Outback one from Slee?

It's my own creation. Very lightweight, full aluminum and a decent load capacity. I'll post a how-to on the rack soon.

Thanks guys- Here is tonight's latest, the lift finally in after some hours with the help of some old fart named EMU. I gotta get to bed now...the madness must stop!

That last shot is amazing! I've never seen that kind of buildup in such a short time- looks like new tires, lift, ARB (plus winch?), roofrack, snorkle, lights, CB, and who knows what else? Definitely fill us in on the mods- what kind of tires, BTW? Fantastic work!
