I bought this almost 5 years ago in Western Mass. Comes with a stack of the PO's service records and a clean and clear NH title. I replaced the exhaust from behind the cats and all the way back and it is still shiny. I started some brake work on it and then got into another project. A couple months later I had my heart issues and I never really got back into finishing it. The odometer reads 187401 which is only 213 miles more than when I bought it and includes the long drive home. Obviously I've never really had the pleasure of driving or using it much since purchased.
Engine runs very well and doesn't smoke. However, it has recently developed a stumble from off idle. It smooths out around 1500 rpm. That condition started right after I dumped 3 gallons of gas into the tank. I think it may be the old gas since it hasn't been on the road for so long, maybe a fuel filter issue. I doubt it is anything serious. I run it up and down the neighborhood occasionally to keep the seals lubed. CEL has been on since exhaust was done. There is a slight coolant leak, I can't tell if its the bottom hose or not, but it doesn't overheat when left idling even for 20 minutes or so. New battery in the last few months.
Everything works except the sunroof and a/c. A couple dinged flares (I was going to remove them all anyway). Dinged front bumper. Surface rust here and there. Needs a driver's mirror. Rear ebrake mechanism at the wheels needs to be rehabbed. I had the rear rotors turned and have new pads and ebrakes shoes for the rear. Tires have tread, but they leak over time and have some weather checking. Needs the liftgate latch assembly replaced. Cloth interior w/3rd row seats needs a good cleaning.
A week ago I was thinking about locking it up and getting it back on the road. FoxFab has a complete rear axle with locker, the front diff with locker, plus all the switches and stuff needed. Landcruisin'60 wants the unlocked axle out of an 80, so it would it would net out to only $1000 or a bit less to convert it over to being locked and you'd have some left over front end parts to sell or keep as spares. The overall condition of my rig warrants the expense and effort.
I'll be taking it on the chin $ wise, but I just don't have the time, covered space or energy to work on this. I'm in the process of parting out 2 rigs and have 2 projects to work on. Come and get it before I change my mind. (I'll even consider trades as part or all of the cost. )
