Smitten is a good word. With the troopy as the family rig theres no pressure to get the LV fixed fast.

I will likely import one truck per year. The people interested in the quad cab Hilux were awful to deal with. My business is going great so no need to flip trucks for spare cash.

I'll likely never find another running/driving LV for the price I paid. I dont get giddy about new trucks like I used to and I am giddy about this one.

Budgeting all the stuff I need a $500-700 sbc 350 will save me cash for suspension, interior, glass, exhaust etc.

There is no way I can make a dime off the LV and will likely lose thousands by the time im done

Another year and you will be able to import diesel 80's!!!! Will you pursue this for paying customers?? Do you know what price these are going for?

I'm changing jobs next month and no longer commuting by train. I'm looking around for a cheap but interesting rig as a second vehicle for the days my wife needs our 100. Anyone have a MA inspection worthy rig for a few grand? Happy to have to fiddle with some things and don't care about paint at that price. Looking for Toyota 4x4 but otherwise not too picky given my use for a 12 mile round trip to work a couple days a week. Thought I'd ask - you guys seem to have a few spare vehicles lying around!

Check main FS section on Mud, a few 60s up for grabs in that price range. Also check Expo.

Thanks - I've definitely been looking on MUD, ExPo, and CL all across New England. Lot's of potential 3rd Gen 4 Runners and some early 80's that are fairly inexpensive. Finding something that isn't rotted or well on its way is challenging. Anything interesting (that '75 FJ40 in Henniker last week...) seems to be gone immediately and I assume it's you guys cruiser hoarding! Cheers!

While your budget is tight its 900 bux to ship a truck up from Florida and another 600 to fly down for a weekend and shop. Comparatively its not hard to spend 1500 correcting rust and rot on old truck.

There was a diesel 60 series for sale out in Sunderland, MA a while back. Seller's name is Karen, but I'm not sure if she still has it. Maybe YodaFrick snatched it up??

FOR SALE - 1965 FJ45 LV Runs well.

(kidding)

Going to sell some parts for the LV fund....

I have a MINT rear sill for an FJ40. I mean excellent condition. $250
Tool Kit - bag with tools - very good condition $150

Both are best offers.

I'll have to check. no grease gun. Its been on a shelf for years.

So the bag of tools only had a few Toyota tools in it. the ones in there looked exactly like stock ones but they were fake. I'll just keep it. there were a few toyota tools but nothing too significant. Glad I checked. Sorry

Need 1978+ disc axles for the 45 plus a booster/master cylinder. Brakes are toast and the repair bill would be insane and I have no time to rebuild wheel cylinders. Anybody have anything ready to bolt in??

I've got an OEM master cylinder from a '77 40 series. Needs a rebuild with seals, etc. Not sure it'll work for what you're looking for, but if it is, let me know!

Can you do an 80 series master and the booster offered by @Racer65. You'll need a firewall adapter I believe.

Got axles heading my way from a guy named Walter in VT. Apparently a 1999 Toyota Corolla master will work as well. I'll check on the 80 series one as I'd like something stout

5 BFgoodrich krawler t/a k/x 37x12.5R17 on pro comp 1079 rims 6x5.5 4.5 inches backspacing for sale. Some slight scratches on the lips on the wheels. no real damage. Bolt on the rim guards for clean street use, $60 a piece. I still have one thats mint. Or use them on the trail and dont give a s***.

Anyone have one or more 275/70/16 Michelin LTX off an 80? Or 4 decent 16" tires between 275-305? Just need to buy some time before it gets a lift and new sneaks.
