I had one of those mounts your using before. Removed the Sat radio antenna and had NMO mount there for a few months.
Then I decided to drill a hole in the roof. Wanted to limit the chances of water coming through a hole in the roof, the reason i went with Breedlove mount.

Ok, I'm totally confused. Maybe someone can clarify this at Logan's. As I do have a ham(?) radio. It's a Radiooddity. I also have CB (which the firestik needs to be tuned- have the equipment and the Baofeng hand held- which Is already programmed- thank you Johnny), so that's it.

I resurrected the old Call Signs thread to add mine to the list as I am now a licensed HAM!! I took the HAM test on Saturday and passed the Technician test pretty easily (missed 1 question). The test proctors then encouraged me to take the General test, but unfortunately having not studied for that section, I didn't pass it, but I got the one I wanted/needed! And so it was that I became "KO4UCM". Very quick turnaround. Took the test on Saturday and my license was emailed to me this morning (Tuesday). Just in time for Fall Crawl!!!

For anybody who, like me, has just been lazy about it....maybe started to study a couple times and didn't keep going, just do it! I used the "Ham Radio Prep" iPhone app and it definitely did the trick. I found that registering for a test a week out motivated me to make sure I got it done, so I think that was the key. The questions on the test come straight from the pool that are in the app.

Get that General up grade..... When i up graded to Extra in just renewed my Exp date. Dont know if they still do that.
