It’s not a great shot but I finally deleted the resonator. The guy did a good job but clearly didn’t understand exactly what I wanted because I wanted the turndown to not extend lower than the bumper. I didn’t have time to leave it longer so I’ll have to either take it back, or I can probably just trim it a little.

^Those few rigs above.... righteous builds and pics!

It took awhile but LX's are finally stepping up and being recognized for the legit 200-series, ahem Land Cruisers, they are. Dramatic change from even just the beginning of this thread. Still snickers of course from some of the LC crowd of mall cruiser, but these builds stand to disprove that stereotype. Rigs that can treat the Mrs. for night out on the town, or getting down and dirty with the boys.

I was just thinking the same thing. Until this thread goes "sticky" I'm afraid we are still second class citizens. :)

I liken the throne of the LX to be 1st class seating. We know the other seats will still get you there, but we'll keep 1st class our own indulgent secret.

I run regularly with a group of father daughters. The daughters have definitely figured out which vehicle they prefer to be in off-road. And the dads know which rig will always get through with the least drama, that they prefer their own daughters to be in the LX when traversing sketchy obstacles.

So....... How does it sound? Was it worth deleting the resonator? Wanted to unbolt the damn anchor the other day and start up, was curious if it would sound a lot louder...

No audible change. Looks cleaner though. Adds 37 hp.

I thought it was 35... guess it has to do with the Lexus tuning for Premium to get that extra 2hp.. :hillbilly:

It is louder outside the cab and also a little louder in the 2nd row when standing on the accelerator, but from the drivers side it is mostly imperceptible and under normal driving conditions I am unable to tell any difference.

I am pretty sensitive to cabin noise so if I noticed, I’d hit the undo button in a second.
