So it looks like I might be able to get a full set of ARB skids for $427. Does this seem legit?

ARB Skid Plates DONE! - Toyota 4Runner Forum

I like them except that they should have made the front skid wider. It leaves the two front LCA mounts unprotected. Ask Brad about this. I believe he pretty easily bent those tabs that the LCA mount to and now is looking at some pretty expensive repairs to get them fixed. BudBuilts cover the LCA mounts very well. That bolt and those tabs are used to align the front end.

Here are the ARB skids

I just love all the acronyms you guys use that have no meaning to the rest of us....... It took forever to figure out BHLM.......

Old people... jesh

It depends on how fast we drive. I can't get away until sunday. 12 hours sunday, 12 hours Monday to Casa de Bryan Y Sue. that would leave all day Tuesday to insall your skids. which ricochets do you have?

Don't kill yourselves getting here to help! I'm going to try and get them installed this weekend. We'll see how it goes. I got the full set of skids minus the gas tank. Everything came in today except the LCA skids. I still haven't swapped my coils either and also need to fix my damn CB. :bang:

If you have the HD skids, I found that you need to at least start the middle bolts first and tighten them at least half way. I did the front and rear the first two times I put them on (second time was during oil change) and the mid driver's side didn't want to line up cross threading the bolt.

For the cross member bar, a 4 lb mini sledge works great.

The cross member is the biggest pain in the ass.

Get the skids...do it. I really love my HD front skid. Can't wait to get the others. I'm so ready to go wheelin again!

And speaking of helping a brother out, Kevin, where do you want to meet to do my CB and to grease fittings?

Brian, sure I'll help with your skids. Hey, can we at least do my rear differential skid too? I've tried it a couple of X by myself - it's still in the garage. It's just an innate mechanical skill I have I guess. :wrench:
