I'll be there over that weekend tooling around with my folks and brother. If I see you all I'll make sure to wave.

May bump into anyone staying at the KOA.
I'm at the KOA, see ya there!

If anyone is passing by Moab then PM me up and lets explore that place.
I'll be there for a couple days then heading to Ouray.

At this point, anyone have an idea what the trails runs are going to be?

I suggest Poughkeepsie. Yea, it has the wall, but there is bypass now. That trail is one of the more scenic in my opinion.

Fine by me. I would like to run Black Bear also before the sherriff gets his way and shuts it down

Those and Engineer Pass. For those coming into Ouray I always like to go from just past silverton to Telluride Via Ophir Pass. And then Telluride to Ouray via Imogene Pass. Fun if you spend the night in Telluride - cool place too. Brown Dog Pizza in Telluride and True Grit Cafe for chicken fried steak (where the filmed famous sene from True Grit- the original).

I really like Stony Pass because it is so lightly traveled, but it makes for a VERY long day due to its length and where it dumps you out ...

Some really cool news for the 200 Series guys that will be attending. Myself and the other 100s in the Hills Directors have a long term relationship with Camelback Toyota (Phoenix, AZ). They have generously supported HIH for 3 consecutive years and have provided excellent parts and service to the MUD community and the entire Land Cruiser community for much longer than that. They do quite a bit of parts shipping and offers a nice MUD discount and shipping deals. When I reached out to Camelback Toyota (@murf ) regarding this event, without hesitation, they have graciously offered a really nice donation. I will be bringing it up to Ouray and we will figure out the best way to distribute it. @paflytyer and I hope to meet up with all of you in a couple of weeks. Thanks guys. Thanks @murf and CBT!

Cool deal. Thank you

The other thing to consider would be seeing if you/we could join the 100s In The Hills event that happens around the same time that a group from the 100 series forum has been putting on for a few years.

Rising Sun 4x4 out of Denver will be up there then for their annual Ouray runs.

Also next year, you might consider attending the FJ Summit in Ouray. It is in July and is open to all Toyota 4x4s not Just FJs We had 20+ 4Runners/Tacomas and 5 100s 2 200s..

Toyota Corp, TRD, Discount Tire and Lots of other aftermarket vendors there, as well as Slee Off-Road and Safari LTD. Probably two of the best resources in North America for all things Land Cruisers. Christo had his 200 series there this year.

I will have mine there most likely, as well.

Cool.

Test fitting before our trip next Tuesday. We will logging miles by now.

Going anywhere to explore prior to Ouray? I ask due to the dual jerry cans

That is just my backup. I may never use it. We will heading directly to Ouray, co.

About 1 week out and looking forward to seeing you all. Looks like we'll have a nice turnout of 200's and a few 80/100's as well. Plans are still in place on Post #1 for meeting time and place Friday night. We will enjoy some food and drinks and decide which trails we will run, start time and if we will split into 2 groups. I am open to whatever we decide. As others have posted please be sure to pack accordingly as weather can change at any moment on the mountain. Bring plenty of water and snacks. Ensure your spare is functional. :) If you have a recovery kit or tools please bring in case we need to help anyone on the trails.

I want to clarify a few things on the event as I wanted to get together as a Mud group and see other 200's on the trails together. The FJ summit has grown into a huge event and is capped so not everyone can participate. Same with 100s in the Hills. The organizers from 100s in the Hills will be joining us this year and will putting on a similar event for 200s next year. They have some fantastic plans already in store for next year and should be a great event.

Let's have some fun next week and look forward to meeting you all.

Anyone coming from SoCal / Vegas / UT and want to camp somewhere Thursday night? Thinking about camping somewhere in or around the Grand Staircase monument and taking the scenic route to Ouray on Friday.

Weather looking good so far....
