Can whoever took this picture email it to me at efbecker@comcast.net? It was not submitted for the calendar but if you can get it to me by tonight I will add it to the others. I cannot use the MUD pictures because they have IH8MUD in the bottom corner.

I don't mean to be a buzz-kill here, but...

Are you posting the "calendar" pics for people to choose from?

What is the design/layout of the pics? You mentioned at some point that you would use all of the pics submitted...

Are you crediting photographers? (Are you considering copyright, "model" releases and usage issues (from photographers and identifiable people in the pictures)?

I understand that this is a home-grown effort but these issues could come back to haunt you....

True but if people are submitting pictures that they own with the full knowledge that it will be possibly in a calendar format then Sherri is covered. Maybe a disclaimer post on the calendar thread would keep it all clear.

People and trucks in the pictures have no say since they were in a public place. Kinda like paparazzi photos of celebs on the street.

I deal with photo licensing quite often unfortunately but anyone submitting the photo had to email it directly to her for the high res image to be used so they know where it's going anyway.

I'm sure if there are any objections to a photo prior to printing then it could be removed...

I paid a bunch of lawyers once to tell me this stuff so it's good to be able to use it occasionally!!!

FYI the F&F property is NOT public space.

I agree that there is implied permission granted by people emailing directly but Sheri said that she could/would/might use pics posted to mud (mud logo) if it were not for the logo (that she could conceivably crop out). In that case no implied permission is present.

Simply getting permission via email from the photographer's (and including printed credits in the calendar) would be enough once selections are made... and it's the right thing to do for folks freely donating images to a potentially profit making venture. (even if the profit goes to YT)

08 FG Pics

Hi to All,
Sorry for the delay in getting these up. I needed to go out of state for a funeral and then in for surgery, but all the internal plumbing seems to be working well now so I’ve started putting the pictures on my server at http://216.177.24.4 I also have the 2007 pictures up also. I will be working on the group picture to put the text in like last years. I should have it up this weekend.
