I wish I had a better explanation for the sale of this beauty, but the reality is it's just not fitting into my life right now like I imagined. I know I'll regret letting this go but it's what's best.
Before I took delivery, Valley Hybrids had the 40 and completed an extensive amount of work, totaling ~$5K (I'm looking for the invoice.) I've replaced the front weatherstrip seal for the windshield and the rubber hood stoppers; both from City Racer. I've gone over it with some CLR and linseed oil to bring out and preserve the beautiful patina. Other than that, it's been an amazing driver, fires right up, and scoots along. An absolute pleasure to drive. It's a conversation starter and people love to give thumbs-up and wave (especially Jeep owners
). It's been on a few local trips to the beach and store, that's about it. Kept topless in my garage.
There are a few things I had on my list to correct:
-The fuel gauge isn't working - just reads empty
-Body mounts could use replaced
-Small leak which seems to be rear main
The top and doors are back on along with the hubcaps (5), which are not shown in the pics.
