I was over at Expo members house (Richie Rich) to help him with his front diff and rear bumper install for is Pickup and decided to install the OEM snorkel.

The snorkel went in great all the parts were there and it was super easy. thanks for your help Richie Rich.

oh and thanks to whosthecoolguy for making this happen, he was really easy to deal with and kept us all updated throughout the process.

Holy hole in the fender Batman!

That makes the 3 1/4" hole for the Safari Snorkel look like a pin hole by comparison.

Any pics of how the OEM routes from the air cleaner? Is it inside the fender to avoid the cruise control mounted over there? The hole is much farther back on the fender than Safari's hole.

Get a move on it!
That hole looks a bit more complicated than the safari version. Looks good!

80Baja, thanks. It was not to complicated, the template that came with the kit was spot on . To tell you the truth i was nervous about cutting the hole in the fender so I ask my buddy to do it and he cut it out perfectly. All in all the install went smooth. the only problem was the 3 clips that snap into the fender were a pain because after cutting the hole the fender will flex making it hard to seat the clip.

Brentbba, if you look at the picture just above you will see the snorkel laying on top of the tube that routes through the fender. then there is a 90* elbow that connect the air tube from inside the fender to air cleaner. later ill take out the turn signal and shoot a few pictures for you.

No problem with the assist.

I will say, it is a tad nerve racking cutting a hole in a truck that doesn't belong to you. It didn't come out perfect, but it will work. Was figuring on it being just a big, round hole, I was a little shocked when I saw the template. Put the hole saw set away and busted out the jigsaw and grinder.

thought i would add a side view :)

Brent, sorry for not getting the picture you asked for, been super busy with work. Ill get some for you this weekend.

Don't worry about it. The pic with the parts, once you pointed it out make perfect sense to me having the Safari Snorkel myself.

The OEM looks just great on your truck. Nice job!!!
