I did quite a bit of searching to find out if there was an OEM replacement for the NLA 60 Series door checks, but did not find a precise answer, so thought I would post here.

The front door checks from the N8*/9*/10*/11*/12*/13* Hilux/Hilux Surf platform are a perfect fit.

P/N 68610-35030 is identical to the 60 Series door check, apart from having a textured plastic coating over the arm of the check. Length, bolt spacing and pin hole size are identical.

Makes a difference to the feel of the door to have working door checks. I'm now wondering if the rear door checks from the same generation of Hilux will work on the rear doors of the 60.

Stupid question but can I just give that part number to a dealer and order no problem here in the states?

Yes, they are fitted to a second generation 4Runner.

Got it, thank you. If you do find out about the rear door stops please advise. Mine are all chewed up.
I can say with near certainty that they will fit. It just might be that they are slightly longer or shorter. But I'll post up here if I buy some rear checks.

Great work Daniel.

They are very proud price wise on those.
I had to Google what 'proud' means in relation to prices. I got mine from IMPEX for the equivalent of about US$ 25 per piece which I consider pretty reasonable for a genuine part, but I notice they are about 4-5 times the price on US sites, which is not cheap.

Legend! Will the plastic coating prevent them from going through the slot in the door? I'm not looking at my 60 right now, but I remember that slot being pretty narrow and not having a lot of space surrounding the metal "strap".

@ryaneddy16 I think you asked me about these a couple years ago right? Here's your answer.

No issue at all, I fitted it fully extended and there was no resistance in the door slot.

I'm going to take them off again and see if the new boss part works with the old 60 checks. If this works then I could potentially renew my swing out back door checks which are definitely not equivalent to any Hilux check.

My issue was not the metal bits on the door check limiter, but rather the rubber/plastic bushing bit disintegrated. Below is a link to replacement I used with great success! Maybe a mud member? Great fit!

Yes, I saw those and mine were hardened and/or missing. But the bit that really wears is in the pressed metal housing. Obviously I don't know the condition of yours, but If you put a new door check in you might be surprised at how worn your old check evidently is. My doors are now firmly held in place at the maximum opening.

Also very curious to know if there’s an OEM option that’s the equivalent to the swing out back door checks

I used these:

68610-60040

From 70-series, IIRC They were about $40 USD when I bought them. I think they're identical to the 35030 listed above.

FWIW, the pin that fits the hole in the end of the limiter is still available, even in the USA. Mine were very worn.

I don't think so. The 70 Series Troopie doors have a slightly different design of check.

I was looking at those, they look identical and are the same price on Impex. In the end I went with the Hilux check as I could use them on my Hilux in case they didn't fit the 60.
