It has an offset lobe (cam) on the shaft.

Press gas pedal to desired RPM. Turn knob.

When you are ready to go back to idle, turn knob the other way.

Sorry don't mean to hijack this thread. I'd like to buy one of these Toyota hand throttle kits, but everywhere I look they are listed as out of stock. Anybody got a line on a current vendor that has this kit in stock?

Okay Nlxtacy whats Akella, because when i put the term Akella in my search engine, it came up as a Russian software company. Somehow i can't see a Russian software company selling Toyota parts. So do you have a direct link for Akella?

Check with Landcruiser Phil. He has used a Toro lawnmower cable assembly and swears buy it vs the Toyota unit. Apparently the Toro is much stronger and is not prone to failure.

I made mine from a 10 speed bike gear shifter and cable. Much better than stock.
