OEM chrome bumper quality

I just unboxed a brand new FJ62 bumper and am in awe of how bad the quality of the OEM chrome finish is. Is this the norm or should I be returning this bumper and trying to get another one? This is the kind of quality I expect from a Chinese bumper not something brand new from Toyota. Can anyone confirm that this is just how it is now? This kind of makes me want to explore aftermarket steel bumpers, but I’m not a huge fan of those either.

This is definitely not the first time I have seen this being reported with new OEM bumpers on Mud. :/

This is really bad, I bought a NOS rear bumper from someone here and it was nothing like that. I'd return that.
