That sucks, but just think how cool you will be when it is all done. Hope it all works out.

Jack

Yeah...just what I needed: $$$$ custo rear shock mounts. It's either do it this way or migrate back to OME...which is too late for that: I haven't forgotten what they were like ;)

Note: The OME's were fine until I started lifting higher and adding large amounts of weight...and trailer.

Dominos...that's what this is like .

Yeulp...
These fricking rigs will bleed you dry, and youll LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT!
Is Sam helping you out with the costs at all?
Are the shocks eyelet ends?
Id like to see pics of it and or look at it to get a better understanding of the problem!

Good luck with it. Im sure it will be worked out this time!

Yes Sam is going to underwrite some of the costs. Same shocks (eye style) as before unless he deems I can use longer shocks then they'll be the same shock only longer. Plus he added 8-step external (easy and quick to adjust) compression adjusters that should allow me to increase the compression valving when pulling the trailer and/or on-road performance and then quickly and easily set it for non-trailer off-road use.

Can't wait!

Just to confirm, its 8:30 meet and leave at 9?

Also, my cb is broken, for those with Hams (I think there are 4 of you) what channel will you guys be monitoring?

I've got a couple Motorola talkabouts that need to be charged (job for tonight). Also, looks like my shotgun seat is open in case anyone wants be my passenger/spotter.

And hey, is it snowing on those mountains? We're getting some in Tahoe. That should make for some extra wheelin' fun.

9:00 am Leave is correct, it will be a chilly ride down for me.

Kieth S: do you have a CB? I'll throw in an FSR radio if not and I can relay mesages from CB and 2M so you won't feel to left out. You need to get a HAM license, all the cool kids have one.

I'll never hit the Peavine repeater with my HT.
Isn'r there a 70cm repeater right in the area around Jumbo?

BTW how did you settle on 147.460? No problem with it just wondering.

I'm thinking we should set standard 2M/70CM frequencies for the club to use as defaults.

 I should start a new thread for this topic.

Um yeah, no CB. Really liked using by buddy's portable one at Browns Camp.

(Rusty_TLC) Dan, did you apply the same pressure to your peers back in high school?

Unfortunately I think I need to pay off the tires before I can think about HAM radio/CB, or recovery gear, or new sliders, or a mountain bike, or a kayak… Wait, that's not true. I can think about them all I want. Affording them is another story.

I don't think Santa has enough elves to build this list of toys, but at least he has something to work with.

Rusty you can hit that repeater from anywhere in reno sparks with your HT bud i do it alot and as far as the simplex it just works out that way freq i thought of.Hey ksheffeild you can get your ham license for 14 bucks and its good for 10 years also for about 125.00 dollars you can get a 2 meter rig anyway see you guys in the am Rusty um Meant to say 146.460 Simplex sorry about that

I have the $30 Radio shack CB with a $40 Firestick antenna. Works well for what it is.

RE Peer pressure. - I was never one of the cool kids back then. I was pretty occupied four wheeling my almost new 1971 FJ40 and working to pay for it in those days. Some things never change.
