got the truck back yesterday. Exhaust came out looking and sounding great. Not too loud but finally sounds like a V8 should:drink:
In the first pic it looks like the 3rd link will hit the muffler but the picture is deceiving, there's actually about 3 inches clearance, just enough to keep it high and still not hit

I'm going to put the forklift to it Monday, ...see how it does.

I still need to clean some stuff up and wire up the 4wd indicator and speedo but this is what I have come up with for the engine bay. A little simpler than some other designs I've seen but should get the job done. I also still want to build a heat shield for the intake.
I have some alluminum mounts for the shock reservoirs coming from Ballistic and I'll eventually paint the rest of the towers and PC the bar with some other stuff I need to get PC'd.

It was sucking the stock reservoir dry every time I started the truck due to the HA ram and inline cooler adding a lot of extra volume so I had to add a larger one, similar to Wyatt's, now the steering is all gooood:smokin:

well, as many of you know, I'm in Savannah, Ga right now so I'll have to wait a little for some real wheeling. I got out for a little while today with a buddy of mine to get some poser photos and a couple quick vids to show off the Marlincrawler going slow.
you'll be able to hear that I need to grease the ballistic joints still and add a little teflon tape to my quickdisconnect at the compressor for my airhose, the leak makes the compressor cycle on and off:

Here's the vid:

well, the fenders really help for stuffing at flex but at ride height I've only been able to bring it down about an inch or so. The front fenders look so much higher because the rear wheel wells are still stock. If I bring it down too far the truck looks like it has a crazy rake to it. I actually like it where it sits now and it's onroad manners are really pretty good.

I can also only bring everything down so far due to the panhard and steering arms proximity to stuff under the engine bay. Also the 37's are a bit tough to get in the rear wells too far.

thanks for the compliments;)

Awesome truck man! talked to you the other day on post. let me know if you ever want to go find some mud around town.

yeah, I remember, how's it going. I usually look for ways to stay away from mud but we're looking to try to get to Gulches in SC sometime in the next few weeks.... you're welcome to come along.

I recently changed up a couple things, decided the truck needed a little bling!! picked up some rock rings from OMF for the new beadlocks.

Also some bling lights. THey're 70W HID's, supposed to be the brightest lights available. I don't have them wired yet though, hopefully this week. They're too deep for the bumper so I just added a small tube to make a light bar. Later I think I'll come up with some more tubing for protection. The lights are too expensive to run all the time so I'll substitute something else for daily use.

Sweet lights! Count me in on Gluches just let me know when!

So that must have been you I saw the other night driving West on I-16. I was wondering who that was! That 4Runner is sick. Looking forward to getting together with some other Savannah Mud members for some :beer:

Man! First off that 4Runner is SICK. The wifey has an 09 but it's just an SR5, V6, 2WD... boring. Nice to see what a little ingenuity can create. Second, I'd love to check that beast out in person. We're actually not too far from each other. Next time you're headed up towards ATL (I live right at the 75-16 merge) or next time I'm headed to Savannah or Tybee we should meet up and have a

Said elsewhere, but say it again. Awesome display of skills. I went through the real build on one of the others forums, and was floored. I'd give an organ to do a similar to the FJC.

thanks for the props! :D

Oh snap! Are you going to go to GSMTR this year? It's May 14-18.

No, but a few of us are headed to Uwharrie, North Carolina 27-29 April. Should be a good time ....probably my last east coast wheeling before moving to Arizona in May.;)
