O/D switch not latching

Have any of you guys taken apart the O/D switch on the shifter handle? Am I missing any pieces? My O/D button fails to stay latched when pressed causing my O/D OFF light to be on all the time.

From the pics, you're missing a wire form peice that's about .4" (11mm) long that looks like a staple.

I found it! took me a good minute to figure out how it all goes back into the switch but I figured it out. Thanks for the info!

Took me a minute or two to figure that out as well when I recovered the gear shifter.

i have a similar issue - my button won't take the transmission out of O/D, i suspect a lose connection, how do you remove the switch from the "shifter"

i did this - it was a loose connection, the button can be gently prised out of the shifter - cleaned everything reassembled problem sorted
