NV4500 help

I figure this is the best place to ask. My NV4500 makes this whining noise in 3, 4, 5 gears. I've read up about these granny's and it seems everyone seems to say they all make noise. It seems mine could be worse than others.

Mine is quiet. What year is the tranny and what gear oil are you running?

I am using the correct oil straight from dodge. I think I might have actually narrowed it down to my t-case . Bummer because I just rebuilt it. I took a chance on a t-case for $100. spent $130 on parts. oh well... live and learn.

Fixed it.. It was the t-case. Nice and quiet now. I think I'll keep the NV4500.

I'm actually going to sell the set-up. I have to just finally admit I'm an auto guy. I keep trying to convince myself I like the manual but I don't really. If it was a vette now i'd have to have a 6 speed. pre-95 has the lower first gear. Mine is a 94 6.34-1 granny gear. the post-95 has a 5.67-1 granny gear. it really depends on what you want. If you are interested I'll sell you mine. from the flywheel all the way back.

what did u do to the t-case to fix it?

put another transfer case in.
