nutsert kit?

I need to setup for some tie downs in the bed of my 60. Wondering if nutserts would be the ideal fastener to use? Would thread in some swivel head eyelet type bolts when needed. Nothing to crazy in weight to be restrained but need to secure camping gear and other stuff in the back when on the trails.

I have one of these: 45 pc Threaded Insert & Riveting Tool Kit | Princess Auto

It works well but the part of the tool that applies leverage to compress the nutsert wears out eventually.

However princess auto will replace the tool "warranty" si bring it in for a fresh one every now and then.

It is pretty quick to use as you just spin the nutsert on, insert it in the hole, squeeze the handles, and spin the nurled end of the tool to remove it from the nutsert. Looks to be a lot quicker than those shown above.

Elbert, I would use a Core Trax system instead....
Porbably mo' work but it will keep all your stuff secure ..
Nut serts wont come off but with enough blunt force the bolt will peel the threads right off...
If yo go with nutserts make sure the line of pull is at an angle.. (not a straight pull).

I'll check it out. Is that one of those rail type deals that you mount to the floor and cargo nets and whatever have grab points? I'll google it in a few.
