Put the tub and all the body parts on the trailer (except hard top and amby doors) tonight, headed to soda blasting tomorrow. Ready to get the next phase underway.

Plan is to get it blasted, then straightened and primed. Then do undercoating with Raptor. Then mount on frame and begin reassembly.

Final body work and paint after she is all assembled.

Wanted to be as far away from the election last night as possible, so I went to the shop.

Got the truck up on stands and the wheels off, will get started on the brakes this weekend.

Also picked up a large batch of parts from the powder coater.

Progres...

wish I could have been in your shop and not ripping my hair out watching!!

it's really coming along!

Are you trying to go back as stock as possible? If so the bumperetts are supposed to be silver. Just sayin.... Ha! Looks great.

yeah, I know. I'm on the fence on that. When I had those done i decided I would go black bumpers, bumperettes, wheels, etc. Now I'm kind of leaning back to going with the pewter. Can't make up my mind.

You're probably right, but thinking I'm going back to pewter.

Did some sandblasting and painting today.

Brake booster was first. Anyone know a source for the rubber boot on the arm? Can't find a replacement anywhere, and mine is almost split in half.

Header was next. Gave up on the ceramic coating. Blasted it and painted with 1500 degree high temp grill paint. Probably still turn, but will help with rust.

crazy beautiful work.

x2.....

Thx guys, had some time to kill while waiting on all the brake and axle components from Georg.

Also, my soda blast guy swears to me he'll have me done Monday/Tuesday, then it's a quick trip to the body shop for priming.

MAYBE in 2-3 weeks I'll be able to start serious reassembly.

Talk like that will get Murphy to take notice........ssshhhhhhhhh.......just post the pics as you go and we'll drool a little on the keyboard. I can't wait to see it finished. You are definitely putting in a lot of attention to detail.
