oilcanning solution
Brian, your motor sounds sweet......maybe a bit fast
but very nice; did you get to take pix of your rear heater repair?......please share with those of us that are dislexic and need to see things to figure them out........
to repair the oilcanning; I used 3M VHP # 4611 one inch doubled on itself; wedged the support open with door stops......wirebrushed the crap out of it as far as I could go; then hit with denatured alcohol then the VHB tape doubled on itself; placed some 4x4 blocks of wood on the valve cover and placed a couple of heavy electric motors on top of the hood on top of some soft quilts
.....still working well with zero oil canning..... HTH

was wondering how to solve it w/o screwing up the paint when another mudder suggested I use VHB tape........ the electric motors + chain probably weighed 100lbs..think I did this late spring and left it and the weights in place for about 2 days.......HTH
