i have been buying some cool new old stock stuff from a guy in Venezuela

He sent me these pics today.

$2500 for the tailgate.

Shipping is cheap since it’s through FEDEX and their currency is so bad

Backside looks NOS, front side finish looks buggered. Maybe a bad pic. Either way it’s not a SWB gate so I don’t care but anyhow.

I’m certain Toyota did not sell a new tailgate with latches installed and if they did they would not be painted black. New tailgate latches are CAD plated.

I’ve never seen one so I have no idea. I defer to the pros.

That said all the other NOS body parts I’ve seen are black. Maybe the guy painted it.
