Thanks for the run guys. Juan had some impressive driving to get that manual trans stock 83 Toyota up and over a few spots, but he made it through unscathed.

Goschbrandon's running boards weren't so lucky, but they were "self-clearancing" after a few nice pointy rocks. :P

I actually thought the trail would be more difficult going up instead of down like we did on the ExpeditionPortal run a few days earlier....but it was surprisingly easier going up IMO.

Even the rockgarden wash that required lots of spotting in my pic a few posts up was a breeze on this trip. While everyone else took the bypass I just dropped down there and cruised through.

I'm looking forward to seeing some pics when Dave and Brandon finish up their Sedona adventure!

Thanks for the props on my driving, Cody! That was a great run for the maiden voyage. It was rougher than I thought it would be, but fun none the less. I had a great time guys! Hopefully bigger tires and a lift will come soon to make it even more fun and more able to keep up with the Cruisers. Look forward to another run. Thanks.

Wheres the pics?

geez, I need to remember to eat more!

Thanks for the pics, the look great. Can't wait to do it again.

Despite the "porch carnage" (which showed up on both sides of the Silver Bullet), I had a great time. Due to it's ass-heavy stance and wide girth, the cruiser might be renamed the Silver Hippo, but that's up in the air. Dave (MoGas) was a great trip leader, and on Broken Arrow managed to sucker another cruiser owner into joining CSC , and lived up to his screename telling us all to lay on the skinny pedal. Cody's (CodyRx7) spotting helped get me through the rocks with only a couple minor "trail mods." Juan (wancho1) was on his first time out and was still able to bounce the minitruck through without any damage.

We need more official and unofficial meets!

Come to the cool pines of Flagstaff on Saturday, 14 July, High Noon at the Sonic on Butler. If the Forest is still open we can do some exploring after.

I will have all the necessary membership stuff with me.

If I can figure out how to post a map I will or if anyone else can it is the Sonic at 1327 EAST BUTLER AVENUE.

Dave

I'd like to do one or the other. The wife will be flying into Phx that day, so I've got to check on that before commiting.

I'd like to gauge interest in a Family Flagstaff run mid October around the peaks. Easy Forest Circus roads and you can camp if you like. It is the peak time for the fall colors and it is beautiful. I may be able to use a buddy's "cabin" (1100 sq. ft. ish basically a 2 br house in Hart Prarie) to host a BBQ.

Sign me up!

Yeah, I think we need a little Flagstaff get together...even if it's just for a pop at the Galaxy diner or something....

-H-

I gave up soda for Lent.....Good Idea though, the Galaxy would probably be all over it. I know that they give discounts to different groups too. The hot rodders get a discount and have their gatherings there on Friday nights in the good weather, and my company gets a discount there too. I'll swing in and speak with the manager.
