I reworked my wiper motor tonight. I read where I should grease it with a synthetic or silicone grease. Just not petroleum based. Everything I have either says petroleum base or doesn't specify. Went to O'Reilly's and unfortunately they didn't know either. Any recommendations for grease?

Your question mark gives me pause. I've got some of that. I thought it was for waterproofing electrical connections. Will that work as well for lubricating plastic gears?

Keg oring lube?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537 using IH8MUD

I agree with Tornado.. i used Keg lube, which is food grade lube.

FYI, you use the same grease when you rebuild speedometers/odometers.

I've heard of Kentucky Bluegrass and Kentucky Bourbon, But Kentucky Grease??:grinpimp:

So Here's what I found. It's brake and caliper grease. I bought it and put it in before I saw your posts on keg lube. Hopefully it does the trick.
