I'm having some trouble figuring out the cause of this. Only the sunroof and dome lights are not working. Radio, cigarette lighter, power windows, etc. are all working fine. I've checked and replaced the dome fuse in the engine bay and the cig fuse under the steering wheel. I may check all other fuses later today. As for now, does anyone have an idea to what the cause might be?

Behind the left kick panel there are three wire-harness connectors tucked into the body below the A-pillar. Try fishing those out and having a look at the condition of the connector pins, especially the 6-pin connector, that's the one that supplies power to the dome light and sun roof.

I couldn't find that 6 pin connector that you're describing. While, I was looking around it doesn't seem like there are any wires out of place under there. Would I need to remove the side panel to find it? Well, I've checked all the fuses again, and none are blown. Do you think that a certain bad bulb could stop all power running on the roof?

I've checked the EWD and it looks like you might be right. That 6 pin connector and the wires connected to it should be the source of the problem. I will need to look at that area again when I have the time and give an update this if I find anything

Finally had time to look into fixing this issue, and it turned out to be a 1 minute fix. Looks like the 6 pin cable loosened over time and finally decided to unplug itself.

Resurrecting this thread with same/similar issue. Knocked the center dome light while installing some extra storage I use offroading in place of my 2nd row seats. Someday I'll just leave that in and ditch the 2nd row! Regardless, the lid hit the center dome light pretty good when I opened it while putting the bolts in. Later on noticed the alarm for the truck wasn't working. Looked at fuse panel at steering wheel - nothing blown. Fuse box in engine bay and lo and behold the dome fuse was fried. Replaced it and tried manually turning on the center dome light. Fuse blew again. Replaced it again and have been good so far. Didn't try the center dome light again as I was down to only one more 10amp fuse!

@Gunky - if you're still around, how far up was that 6 pin cable behind the DS kick panel? I know one of the two rear door sensors is going bad because I'll occasionally get a dome light flicker taking turns, etc. Yes, the doors are closed and locked. Need to replace one or both of those at some point if they are still available!

Based on a few threads on this dome fuse, could be this 6 pin connector, could be that I knocked something loose behind that center dome light and will need to inspect it too I think. Perhaps some aging wiring at the dome light. I'm not drawing much current as I put some of George's LED bulbs in all the dome lights centuries ago...like when he first started making them! Damn I'm getting old.

Sorry, I don't think I could recall that far back to the problem. I'm sure the connector could be found somewhere behind the kick panel by your left foot, it could be some ways up or you might have to move the ECU out of the way. I took a look at the wiring diagram, and the 6 pin connector should only affect the sunroof and front map lights (I could've been more descriptive in my older posts). From what you've described, it seems like you damaged the second row or 'front interior light.' I also don't think it should be related to your alarm. I've attached a partial wiring diagram for the dome fuse.

If you do get another 10a fuse fuse, I would test if your sunroof and from map lights are working. If they do, then that 6 pin connector is not the source of your issue. Also, are your vanity mirrors working? My guess would be to check the dome light assembly and its wiring to see if anything was actually damaged. It should only be a 2 pin connector to that center dome light, however it seems to have a complicated circuit. It could be grounding itself and causing the fuse to blow along with other issues. Try flipping the LED bulb for damage and polarity, it could be designed to have current flow in one direction and may be have installed backwards.

Good luck troubleshooting your issue
