Also be aware that the OEM cigar lighter is NOT a true power port! Most power port plugs don't fit correctly in a true lighter socket.
Is it Just a Cigarette Lighter or a Power Socket?

After fighting with the cigarette lighter...it finally gave up. Here's what i found.

Doesn't look like oem.... but by the charred/ broke (insulator?) ... we found the short. I put a new 20 amp fuse in and it didn't pop!!

Now, any recommendations on a replacement power port. I don't smoke....

If you just want a standard metal power port, that will fit in your existing lighter hole, send me a PM. I have one in stock and can include the adapter to make it plug and play.

If you want the USB charger like the one that ginmtb posted AND you want it to be plug and play into your FJ40, again send me a PM. I can order one in and install the connectors needed to make it plug straight into your harness.
