Congrats!!!!!!!

And now, words of advice...

When changing a boy's diaper, just remember to duck and cover...

Amen, to that. Our first two no problem, this last one (Alex) born the end of December, Whoa watch out. He gets mom all the time, not dad though. <img>

Wow, thanks everybody! Jacob Matthew was born on Friday night last week. He was 7lb 9oz and 20 ¾ inches. Both mom and Jacob are doing great. Hannah is a proud big sister…she wasn’t so sure about him at the hospital but once we got home she’s been great.

It’s been a busy few months…Kaylin finally has her bladder back and she’s able to get around on her own again. She was scheduled to be induced last Friday morning but when we got there she was already in labor so they just let her deliver on her own…

Jacob is a very ralaxed baby. I’ve discovered that if he’s swaddled tightly he will lay there stiff as a board then go to sleep. If you swaddle him loosely or not at all he will slowly swing his arms around like the karate kid (wax on, wax off) and not sleep. He doesn’t make a sound until he NEEDs something. He’s been eating well and so far has been like a clock every 1 ½ hours.

Congrats!!!!!!!

Funny you mention this…I learned this the very first diaper I changed at home on Saturday night. I was concerned that he wasn’t getting enough food after discovering a ‘dry’ diaper but my fears were quickly put to rest when Jacob started a water gun fight with the wall. Not only did he get himself but it made its way down the wall behind the dresser and into the baseboard. I bet if we had a pee for distance contest he’d win hands down…I might have to go home and practice tonight.;p
