The ride will be at Wooly's,Tuesday 1 Jan,2008 at 9 AM CST
Roger

Thought I'd start a new thread to discuss the New Year's Day Ride. As our Fearless Leader has stated elsewhere, this is a STLCA tradition and we'd like to see a large turnout. We hope that all that are close or even those that aren't :D can make it.

I think either Wheeling in the Country or Wooly's would be best since like Grey Rock there is a multitude of trails that would keep us all interested. They are both also centrally located enough that all area's of the state and even some of our members from ALA and GA might be able to make a long day trip out of it.

So since this is a poll, vote and post up you're thoughts. Details are certainly open to discussion so if you have ideas post up or forever hold your peace :bounce::bounce2:

Dont know where Wollys is and dont know the definition of "wheelin in the country"...can you elaborate?

Im in the process of building my own sliders right now...in fact I just came in from some welding/grinding. Rear bumper is next.

I'll vote Wooly's. But I too have never been to either, so I'm down for whatever.

What dates are we talking about? One day run on New Year's day or weekend wheeling and camping? I need to ask off work accordingly.

I vote for Woolys but thats because it only 30 minutes from the house:D

Look forward to wheeling with folks I haven't meet before....Shirley/Roger yawl dont count!

Its historically been a one day ride, but if'n we want to make a camping trip out of it, I'd be game. What say ya'll?

Clutchee, you don't count regardless :D

If you all want to make it an over night ride that opens the option to go to some other places that were to far to consider for a one day ride.

Windrock or Royal Blue are good overnoght options ( if we can find someone who knows Royal Blue). The canyon (Wilder) might also be a dayride option. And yes Todd I'm messing up your nice, orderly polling options. Although weeling on the country does have the overnight option also( if anyone wants to come in from farther away).Or there's always Rogers favorite Turkey Bay (Land Between the Lakes).Soo many Places so little time. My vote is Wheeling in the country. ROB

We will discuss the ride at Saturday's meeting, if it is an overnighter it will have to be a New Year's Eve party as many of us have to work on Jan. 2.

The New Year's day ride will be at Wooly's. We will meet in the parking lot about 9 AM CST on Jan. 1, 2008. The majority of the club members have plans for New Year's eve, so if any of you want to put together a ride on Monday and spend the night we will meet you on Tuesday morning.

So, who all is coming? Rob is bringing Dillion (his son) and the 74 project truck I gave him for Christmas, I'll be there.

I'm in.
