Here. Now.
Can you still get new winshields?

And the moulding?

Someone put a rock through mine last night...

Getting new glass should not be a problem. Toyota no longer offers the moulding, after-market rubber is available through the usual suspects.
Can I have my rock back?

Yeah, I'll start looking around...

The rock is sand right now, I was in a bit of a rage this morning...

But I love my chrome!

:flipoff2:

I bought a new windshield form toyota less than a year ago and got the rubber from another vendor.

I had my tire slashed a few months back. That kinda s*** pisses me off!!!:mad:

Surfpig,

I just bought a new windshield from cruiserparts.net 2-weeks ago. When I ordered, they only had two left. So if you are lucky, you will get the last one. The price was $199 + $45 shipping.

SOR has the rubber, but like mentioned above, I don't think you can install the chrome strip.

Prior to purchasing from cruiserparts.net, I contacted Cdan to see if Toyota was still producing windshields. He stated that they are not.

Sorry to hear about the loss.

Ordered one from the dealer (one of 2 in the US...).

Working on the weatherstrip...

Looks like no more chrome trim for me...

:crybaby:

:D

I was just thinkin today: "I wish I didn't have a chrome strip around my windshild." You guys are sissies.

Picked up my OEM windshield today. Weatherstrip is due in tomorrow or Friday. Install next week sometime, just in time for our last family trip of the season (but not mine...)!

:D

won't any of the standard glass companies come out and install a piece? I had this done on my 40 years ago and they even used an aftermarket gasket, no prob. Any reason to have to go through the trouble of OEM gasket and glass?

Noah

They had trouble sourcing the gasket for some reason. And if the glass was flat, they could have made a replacement pretty easily. All in all it was going to be a little cheaper if I just got the stuff myself.

Surfpig,

Where did you end up getting a gasket from? I am needing one and have only seen them offered at SOR. I am interested to know if there is another source.

slocruisers.com

Same gasket, roughly the same price.

It's getting installed tomorrow.

Surfpig, thanks for turning me on to slocruisers.com. I knew he had rear window and tailgate rubber. Hadn't been to his site in a while so was unaware of the windshield gasket and also the taillight rubber.
