Well, the old M416 is gone and I am now the new owner of a 1990 M101a2. Overall, trailer is in great shape. Tires look new, surge brakes work, parking brakes work, not a spec of rust underneath, a little surface rust on the front, but nothing penetrating, tailgate is in great shape.
I already rewired it this morning to run a 4 flat connector for lights. Pretty non eventful. I have a safety chain plate for the pintle hook on the way. After that I should be good to go. No special plans as of now, just plan to use it.
