Just picked this 2019 up a few weeks ago - what a machine. I am coming from a C63 - had to let her go with new a little one. I initially had a tough time letting the 63 go but I have quickly fallen in love with this beastly vehicle. I have had 2 previous 4Runners that I have driven collectively nearly for nearly 20 years, but this big lady is on a different level. This car reminds me of a Grand Seiko. Awesome car and this forum seems very helpful.

And an Alex Grey and/or Tool fan.

Welcome, and congrats on the rig and little one.

Awesome. You spotted that. A forum with fellow Tool fans! This is a good group.

Thanks for the welcome all.

BTW - I can see how you buy one of these vehicles and it’s game over. It’s just a perfect vehicle in so many ways. The construction, quality, precision, attention to detail, it’s all there. Coming from a new Benz, I have to say this is my preference.

Congratulation. I just picked mine up yesterday. It is a wonderful machine.

Congrats. I feel grateful fo have one of these. I first sat in some of these years ago in the Middle East in the up armored versions. They were the only SUVs that could take the abuse of the uparmor kits and dudes beating the hell of them through the endless convoys through the city. These were vehicles that were depended on not to fail or breakdown in the middle of a city that didn’t like Americans very much.

My biggest problem with this truck is balancing the desire to drive it ALL THE TIME against the desire to keep miles off it to preserve it.

I test drove one today. I own a tundra and 4runner. My two daughters own a sequoia and an FJ. This thing is in an entirely different league. I was amazed. I've never driven anything like this. I will likely buy a 2020. Again, an amazing vehicle.

Congratulations.
