7.5x16
These are off of a Banderante I believe and will go on my 77

I know your story is legit, but wonder if there is another "John Denver" out there that owned a 40 in the past (I see his real last name on the title). . . reminds me of the Seinfeld episode when George bought the LeBaron Convertible because it was owned by John Voight -- turned out to be a different John Voight as determined from dental impressions found on a pencil in the glove box!

I agree, thought he just died a few years ago. Time passing by way too fast. Incredible find, that is way too cool!

Use to be standard practice to listen to John Denver everytime I would drive up from Oklahoma. Now I live here and don't listen to him at all. Still have the vinyl though!

LITP beat me to it... Far Out that is

Nice find

That's great, I still have a few of his cassette taps. Always been a southern rock kinda guy but, I really liked some of his songs.

This thread made me feel young (er), everything i know about John Denver comes from officer Farva's rant in Super Troopers...

Came in handy yesterday!
We are having issues with my wife's BMW
So she drove my 100 series and I drove the 40 to work
My home got nailed with 2.5" diameter hail so the BMW got hammered as well as well as the 100 series

40 made it out just fine
Rain in the forecast again today
I think a I'll use that excuse today

I know what I'm taking (covered garage at my office)

Don't think most here caught the "FAR OUT". John had his own variety TV show must have said far out a few times on each show. Years ago Costco sold CDs packs greatest hits. Picked up John Denver's among others. Rainy here today so going to spend some time in the garage, think I dig them out. No mustard 40 in the garage but do have a half dozen Land Cruisers in there, four of them being 40s.

Like this?

You're old?!? I thought he died about 5 years ago...

October 12, 1997

Hadn't thought about him in years. You know how it goes, memory I mean. Rocky Mountain High I think was my favorite that he did. But, if you want really old------. I went to a memorial service today for someone I had known since probably before I ever went to school (she was in her upper 90's when she passed last week, and still sharp as a tack). Every song that went with the slideshow was Jim Reeves. For those of you who don't know who he was, look him up. Left this world too early, just like John Denver in more ways than one.

The tank was toast
I was cleaning the fuel filter about every 10 miles
Replaced it with the one from my 77 yesterday and drove about 30 miles no issues

No guitar picks in this mess

I cleaned it up with LOTS of soap
Looks so much better
